The apartment was real value for money. It wasn't luxury, but it was clean, fresh, and quiet. The linen was changed regularly and the apartment was serviced twice during the week. Staff were friendly. On the downside, the bathrooms could definitely do with updating and the kitchen was poorly equipped. If you're planning to do any more cooking than make a sandwich or a cup of coffee, you should stay elsewhere! Another thing to think about is that the closest supermarket (which stocks only basics) is at the bottom of a steep hill (and hauling groceries back up again is no fun). To do any proper grocery shopping (which, given that you've chosen to stay in a self-catering resort, is very likely) you'll definitely need a car. In fact, I would say that you definitely need a car (full stop) if you're staying here. There's little to do or see in the vicinity of the apartments. And Gran Canaria is a magnificent island and definitely needs exploring.
A point to note: we booked a two-bedroom apartment but on arrival were given two one-bedroomed apartments (they told us they don't have two- bedroomed apartments). This was fine for us, as we were a party of adults. But if you're travelling with children, this is something you need to think about.
The staff were friendly and helpful and made my stay enjoyable
The staff not talking english was the best with no communication between us I got free tv
None apart from no one spoke english
Cheap, and the appartment was accordingly. Staff spoke not a single word of English, appartment had had its best time quite a while ago, only ca 5 lit of hot water available, but hey - it was cheap!
Great location - close to the beach, great view, quiet in the night (only after 10 p.m!!!), cheap.
The first room we were offered was terrible - dirty blankets, wholes in the curtains, very very weared furniture. Finally we got a room which we agreed to stay, but far from acceptable level. Have to pay for the TV! They charge prepaiment when you arrive - suggest to check the room definetely before you do that. No blanket slips - have to use blanket and sheet separately. Unpleasant smell. Cheap. Every evening from 8-10 p.m there is some kind of show in the valley down - disco and yelling in the microfone - no chance to rest during this time. Cold and moist in the rooms during winter times( nov - feb).
Need to say I have booked this place becouse of the advertised wifi throughout the hotel, which never happened. This place has no internet in rooms so I ended up paying 7e for 24hrs of wifi from the next door hotel.. Otherwise, place was very clean, rooms nice. Katarina
